Acorus’ Eastern team have gained outline planning permission for a single dwelling in historic Lavenham, Suffolk. The clients currently occupy a house at the site which Acorus has also been successful in removing an equestrian occupancy condition from. The new house will replace a former poultry shed currently used for stables. Being just outside of Lavenham, and complying well within the objectives of the neighbourhood plan, strong support was gained which has ultimately resulted in a successful outcome.
Most dwellings built for agricultural purposes are subject to an occupancy condition which restricts the occupation of the dwelling to a person employed in agriculture.
